Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 from Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from media and bloggers. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway on her blog gave the artist some additional appreciation. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement and being fascinated at the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for work or for a passion however, as a chance to grow. So she started her own compositions. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. The singer decided to perform her music in public when her mother said they can help other people, not gain acclaim for her work, but instead help the people around them understand the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She began making music at the age of nine. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora's success was never the goal of her. The only thing she loves is writing music. The music she composes is how she feels about everything.
